Description

A highly appreciated accessory by show jumping, cross-country, and endurance riders, the Norton 5-Point Hunting Breastplate is essential for keeping the saddle perfectly in place, even during the most intense efforts.

Designed to offer an optimal fit, it attaches at 5 strategic points:

  • 2 lateral attachment points on each side of the girth (at the level of the girth billets)
  • 2 attachment points at the saddle rings (under the small flaps)
  • 1 final point at the girth (between the horse's front legs)

Durable and comfortable thanks to its high-quality leather parts and elastic inserts, the Norton 5-Point Hunting Breastplate promotes the horse’s freedom of movement while ensuring excellent saddle stability.

Lined with synthetic sheepskin at the shoulder point, it reduces friction and protects the horse’s skin during long training sessions or competitions.

Practical and effective, this breastplate is also equipped with a removable martingale loop, ideal for regulating the horse’s head position and enhancing its stabilizing function.

The only difference between a pony and a horse is size.
According to the International Equestrian Federation, an equine measuring less than 1.48 meters, not shod, is considered a pony. If it measures more than 1.48 meters, it is classified as a horse.
The pony category is divided into 4 sub-categories based on their height at the withers, not shod.
Category A = height less than 1.07 meters
Category B = height between 1.08 and 1.30 meters
Category C = height between 1.31 and 1.40 meters
Category D = height between 1.41 and 1.48 meters
