The MIPS technology, the result of nearly 20 years of research, is designed to enhance brain protection. Its goal is to reduce the risk of brain injuries during oblique or rotational impacts: By adding an additional layer between the outer shell and the helmet's liner, which allows slight movement between the head and the helmet upon impact, some of the energy is absorbed, mimicking the protective effect of cerebrospinal fluid.
This reduces rotational forces and minimizes the risk of brain injuries.
Features of the Airy Helmet:
- An outer shell made of ABS, highly resistant to impacts, even in extreme temperatures.
- An inner shell made of high-density EPS (expanded polystyrene), which is very lightweight and ensures excellent shock absorption properties.
- Hundreds of half-circles embedded on the surface of the inner shell that not only improve shock absorption but, combined with the front, rear, and central ventilation areas, also allow for excellent airflow.
- A removable and washable inner padding that combines moisture-wicking fabric with memory foam for added comfort.
- A precise adjustment system with a rear adjustment dial mounted on a 5-position frame for a fit that matches your anatomy.
- A microfibre fastening harness with a quick-release clip and 4-point rear attachment to fit the nape of the neck, along with a chin guard on the strap to reduce friction.
- A lightweight design: between 460 and 560 g depending on the size.

Maintenance tips
Store your helmet in a clean, dry place at room temperature.
Prolonged exposure to sun or frost may damage your helmet and reduce its effectiveness.
Hand wash the internal foam padding.
Clean the external shell regularly by hand using a damp sponge with a small amount of soap.
